Overview of Services

Student Housing Abroad LLC helps students studying abroad connect with verified landlords and access curated local resources. We are not a real estate broker or agent. We provide housing placements and travel-related support, but do not offer legal housing contracts between landlords and tenants.

Liability and Insurance

Student Housing Abroad LLC and its affiliates are not liable for loss, damage, injury, or inconvenience caused by criminal activity, roommate disputes, property issues, utility interruptions, or natural disasters. Students are responsible for obtaining renters and travel insurance.

Lease Application Requirements

• First form of ID (e.g., passport or government ID)
• Second form of ID (e.g., university ID or driver's license)
• Proof of sufficient funds to afford housing (e.g., bank statement or scholarship letter)

All documents are encrypted, accessible via the user dashboard, deletable at any time, and auto-deleted two years after lease end unless required by law.

Refund Policy

All bookings are nonrefundable once confirmed. Refunds are only considered in the event of an extenuating circumstance, such as:

• Global pandemic
• Official government travel bans
• Armed conflict or declared war
• University program cancellation or closure

Refund decisions are made at the sole discretion of Student Housing Abroad LLC. Booking implies agreement to this policy.

Placement & Booking Agreement

Before checkout, students must confirm and agree to the following:

• I have been accepted to study abroad by both my home and abroad universities.
• I have applied for and will obtain my visa prior to travel.
• My passport will be valid throughout the study abroad program.
• I understand my booking is conditional on document submission and full payment.
• I know my program start and end dates.
• I have completed or will complete required vaccinations or health forms.
• I accept responsibility for my health and travel insurance coverage during my stay.
• I understand that typing my name below acts as a legally binding electronic signature under the E-SIGN Act.

E-Signature: By typing my first and last name at checkout, I confirm the above statements and agree to the terms of the Placement Agreement.

Responsibilities of Students

• Submit all required documentation on time.
• Secure valid travel and health insurance.
• Abide by the laws of the host country and rules of the housing provider.
• Maintain respectful conduct toward roommates, landlords, and local communities.
• Accept full financial responsibility for the housing placement once confirmed.

Responsibilities of University Advisors

• Ensure that participating students have official approval to study abroad.
• Provide timely support if verification or clarification is needed for student placements.
• Understand that Student Housing Abroad does not share private student data without consent.

Responsibilities of Landlords

• Must sign a Consultation Agreement before listing properties.
• Ensure properties meet legal safety standards and are accurately represented.
• Notify Student Housing Abroad promptly of any changes in availability.
• Understand students are not co-tenants under the LLC and that the LLC is not a party to local lease contracts.

Equal & Fair Housing

We comply with all fair housing laws and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, or familial status. Reasonable accommodations for disability-related needs will be honored.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming. All disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Modifications to Terms

These Terms of Service may be updated periodically. Continued use of the Site after changes implies acceptance of the updated terms.
